Tyler Donatelli began her ballet training under the direction of Salwa Rizkalla at Southland Ballet Academy, CA at the age of five.  By the age of thirteen, Tyler began competing at the Youth America Grand Prix and received several medals at the regional competition  including the Youth Grand Prix Award and Grand Prix Award, soon following a bronze and silver medal at the New York City Finals.  In 2012, Tyler competed in the prestigious Music Center Spotlight Awards and was honored with the winning position in the ballet category.  In 2013, Tyler joined Houston Ballet II.  After completing two years in the Houston Ballet II program, Tyler joined Houston Ballet as an apprentice in December of 2014, to Demi soloist in February of 2017, and then to soloist in September of 2017.  Tyler’s featured roles include Clara in Stanton Welchs’ “The Nutcracker”,  Swanhilda in Ben Stevenson’s “Coppelia”, and Justin Peck’s “Year of the Rabbit”.  Tyler has also performed in works by Jiri Kylian, George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, William Forsythe, along many others.
